	When shopping for infield groomers it's important to know what to look for. If a machine doesn't level infields then it's not providing one of the main benefits that players and coaches want. They want "Level, Smooth, Consistent" infield surfaces.

Why Don't Bunker Rakes and Other Field Finishers Level Infields?

	Bunker Rakes and Competitor Field Finishers are not capable of actually leveling infields. Why? Because their finishers are either chain lifted or they rotate up / down on an axis. They do not lock into a leveling position. They cannot level. All of our groomers actually level infields - including our Spartan Field Finisher.


	Why Can't chain lifted implements Level Infields? Because Chain Lifted Attachments are allowed to float. If implements float then they Do Not Level. They ride up over high areas and sink down into low areas. They are designed to "smoothen" only. If you're not leveling infields then you're not providing one of the most important things players and coaches want.

Leveling Infields requires the finisher implement to be locked into a "Leveling Position". Notice the left end of finisher is sagged down and right end is lifted up on pile. Chains do not lock the finisher implement into a "leveling position" for infields. When you shop for infield groomers it's very important to look for features that will lock the infield leveling implements into a "locked position" to ensure leveling takes place. Other manufacturers don't explain this when they sell groomers. Most customers do not realize this until after they own a groomer that doesn't level.

	Chains are loose. They do not engage the finisher to the infield to promote leveling. Loose chains allow the finisher to ride up over high areas and sink down into low areas. This is not a good design for leveling. Our improvement kit locks the finisher at the height you set to ensure the finisher cuts high spots and fills low areas to level infields.


	Did you know. Implements that are lifted with chains, or others that rotate up / down on an axis, are designed only to smoothen. All Heying Company infield groomers actually level infields.
